The Bear is so sad! I wasn't sure about it at first, but it was compelling (and the camera work is amazing), and I like it a lot more now that people aren't as mean to each other. (I've watched the first six eps.) I also thought it was supposed to be a comedy of some sort, and was very surprised that it's more one part cooking, one part people yelling, one part grief, and one part toxic job PTSD.
