F5K 2021: GenKill, Venom, OUATIH, Good Will Hunting, Clone Wars

General likes: food as a metaphor for love, hurt/comfort, people being sweet to each other, people taking care of each other, daddykink if you want to go there (even just a little), people being good at their jobs, people buying other people presents (like fancy clothes, that they then help the other person get dressed in).

If you want to write 5k of "uhh what do you mean we're having a baby?" mpreg, I would read it.

AUs: space (sentient spaceships yes please), ones where people are scientists (marine biologists, Arctic researchers, that sort of thing) or archaeologists, PacRim or Godzilla-type AUs (for any of these but especially for GenKill - lol forever @ ASkars being in the new Godzilla vs Kong movie).

The only AUs I'm really not into reading are high school/college AUs (where it's specifically the "characters removed from their universe and all put in high school or college together" AU and not just something along the lines of "[character] decides to take some college classes", or Nate Fick gets a PhD and teaches - that's cool) and A/B/O universes.

Gen, het, slash, I am pretty much open to anything, and any rating, so don't feel like you need to write something NC-17 or a genre that's that's not what you are comfortable writing.

Honestly, the only thing I really do not want to read in fic are kinks involving bathroom functions, super-angsty infidelity issues, extreme violence (canon-typical violence is fine), misogynistic violence against women, and I'd prefer no character death unless it's already in canon.

If you have an idea you really want to do that you're not sure I'll like, please contact me through the mods to ask! But I am pretty much open to anything outside of hard DNWs.

Generation Kill

I would love any of the AUs above, either in a "Nate or Ray got out of the Corps and took this career path" sort of way, or a "Nate or Ray never joined the Corps and did this instead" way. Brad I can't see as anything other than a Marine, but something set after his retirement is cool. I'd also be interested in any sort of quasi-AU set in Iraq, where the platoon unearths some ancient curse or awakens an ancient monster, anything like that - if you'd like to go this route and would rather focus on an ancient curse/monster plot than on the pairing, doing a more UST-y thing is fine with me.

I will always, always love fic where Brad is the weirdo he is. Brad the deep-sea diver / the treasure hunter / the Bermuda Triangle researcher who is terrified of the ocean and thus fascinated by it? Into it.

Venom

Hmm, hilariously enough I'm pretty sure if you look at the fic I have written for this fandom, the things I like for it are quite evident - generally not quite the things everyone else seems to be into.

I like stories where: Eddie gives pleasure to subby goo Venom, Eddie and symbiote work to find the symbiote some hobbies, they have to try a lot of various foods to find things the symbiote likes, having the symbiote changes Eddie in small but physical ways and they really reach a "together we are Venom" point.

Including plots or characters from the comics is OK, including Anne & Dan is OK.

Fandom-specific DNW: having the symbiote form human-style genitalia.

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood

Into: friends with benefits, soulbond, backstory - maybe tell me about their slightly more wild days doing Bounty Law? - threesomes with Francesca in Italy or back in LA, poly things like Francesca understanding right from the start that Cliff and Rick have ~a thing~ that she's okay with them still continuing, the three of them hanging out with Sharon and the baby or just hanging out with Brandy, roadtripping up/down the coast, the idea that Cliff did kill his wife* (whether accidentally or not) and Rick knows/helped him cover it up, Cliff acting as caretaker during a period where Rick is basically self-medicating his mental illness with alcohol and it making him think about and/or confront what he did in the war and the effect it had on him. Also into the non-romantic versions of any of the above, really, if you want to write a story where the focus is more on Cliff & Rick's friendship than Cliff/Rick. And vague UST or something where they're gentle and touchy with each other but it isn't going to lead to hooking up is also fine by me.

* w/r/t this request vs my DNWS - I would read this story, and do indeed think that he canonically killed her, please keep the actual death off-screen if you go this route

Fandom-specific DNWs: completely ignoring Francesca if the story is set in a time when she would have been part of Rick's life, giving them a shitty breakup (an amicable one is fine), Roman Polanski.

Good Will Hunting

If we matched on just Chuckie alone, I'd like something where he's figuring out his own life without Will in it, post-movie. Please feel to include Billy and/or Morgan as part of this - Will visiting is also good. Basically any other characters you'd like to add in! Alternately, something a number of years down the road where Chuckie's got all his shit together (or thinks he does) and something happens to mess it up - injury, divorce, Will showing up again after a couple years of barely speaking - etc. (This works for Will/Chuckie, too.)

If you're interested, I would be into a Will POV story that has math stuff, or a Chuckie POV story that has carpentry stuff.

Tropes: soulbond or soulmarks (romantic/sexual or platonic), a sugar daddy sort of thing with Will buying Chuckie stuff and Chuckie struggling with it a little, marriage of convenience/accidental marriage.

Having Skylar break up with Will so she can date a musician will always make me laugh, since that's what actually happened with Matt Damon and his Skylar (she left him for Lars Ulrich of Metallica).

Star Wars: The Clone Wars

I love that this is essentially a show about a war, with all those war-situation caretaking possibilities. I would read any sort of Obi-Wan/Rex during-the-show hurt/comfort! I would also read Rex tracking down Obi-Wan when Obi has to go into hiding after the fall of the Republic, and any sort of slice of life in the sands of Tatooine. (Ahsoka is very welcome in these ideas, or maybe they're making plans to rescue Cody, or plans to bring Anakin back from the Dark Side!) I'd also very much be into Obi-Wan/Rex where part of their relationship is trying to deal with unrequited feelings for Anakin and/or the shame/horror of Anakin's turn.

Would also be into: Ventress, after Dooku excommunicates her, turns to Obi-Wan instead of going to Dathomir (or maybe Obi-Wan accompanies her to Dathomir for all that Mother Talzin magic stuff). Or maybe Ventress & Obi-Wan team up for an adventure during her time as a bounty hunter, and either have ALL the UST, or just get it on after all.

For variations of: Anakin & Ahsoka | Obi-Wan & Ahsoka | Anakin & Obi-Wan & Ahsoka, if set during the show: definitely into gentle caretaking situations for them, or "we're trapped on this planet and have only each other for warmth/comfort/caretaking of injuries" sort of things. I don't want to get into huge ideas that would probably ask an author to go way beyond minimum word count, but I would ALWAYS read an AU where Ahsoka doesn't leave the Order and this is enough to stop Anakin from turning, or the Jedi figure out the Chancellor's plans before he can completely turn Anakin and Ahsoka returns to help defeat him.

Although she's not in the tagset, Padmé is welcome to appear in any of these things. Definitely feel free to mix and match the above ideas!
