I finally heard from both my fandom5k recipients on Wednesday, which was a weight off my shoulders - I know people don't always have time to read their gifts right away but the fact that neither of them had commented was stressing me out.
In an effort to distract myself from worrying about that, I spent a couple days skimming through Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood novel, mostly so that no one else would have to. As much as I love the movie (so much), someone needed to rein that man in with this book. Here are the spoilers that are probably most relevant to fandom. Please note (and I'm looking at you here, A/V Club) that none of these things are really all that shocking besides how the book just... stops. (Or maybe I just wasn't shocked because the answer about whether or not Cliff killed his wife was what I thought.)
My face was annoying again, so I went to see my acupuncturist and it's been mostly settled the last few days. I honestly find it so wild that I basically have to trick that nerve into chilling out. With the Oriental medicine approach that's not covered by insurance. Face, why!
I watched what's out of Loki and enjoyed it enough that I watched it again. (Plus four fifty-minute episodes really isn't much of a time commitment.) I turned on TF&tWS for a bit, but found it too stressful without reading all the spoilers yet, so now I'm watching Independence Day, as one does on the 4th of July.
