Requests:
Transformers: Rescue Bots: I can't say this was a show I expected to care about this year, yet here we are. It's adorable! Griffin Rock is insane! People are always getting trapped by mudslides or sassy computer systems that put everyone to sleep! Is no one in the Burns family ever annoyed that they are the emergency department for an entire island that has shown time and time again that if something can go wrong, it will? I would be like, "I need a vacation and you're not going to call me for a week, I'm going somewhere where there's less of a possibility that tomorrow there will be lava in the sewers yet again."
Things I would like to experience for this show, feel free to mix and match:
- episodic-style wild weather shenanigans
- more aliens! and they're not in Griffin Rock for fun, they've come to wreak havoc yet again
- Griffin Rock historical things, whether as book excerpts (Chase could be reading them to someone), old letters someone's discovered in a random box, the script/excerpts from a script for a play about the town (maybe various Burnses get the bots to help them rehearse? maybe the bots want to put on their own play, once everyone in town knows they're not just robots?)
- human/bot soulbond, whether platonic or romantic, whether magically appearing or the result of one of Doc's inventions
- curator's notes on the museum displays or items in the museum's storage, or Doc's notes on any of his inventions (whether something in the show or something you want to make up)
anything dealing with that island where they dump all the malfunctioning tech (note: I can't believe no one realized that idea would come back to bite them in the ass, literally in some instances)
- Morocco/Jules Verne, because that episode sure looked like it was going that route for a hot minute
- Blades and his huge, giant, island-sized crush on Bumblebee
- something set in the entire ten years that Charlie and the Greenes lived while the rest of the Burnses and the bots were stuck on the ghost ship (Charlie/Doc, Charlie/Doc/Anna, or gen - all good)
- something set in the time-skip between S3 and S4
Art opt-ins/illustrated text possibilities: any technical drawings (there are a lot of inventions and robots on this show!), coloring page, excerpts from Doc Green's or Anna Baranova's sketchbooks or academic publications, in-universe social media because surely this town has some fancy version of Twitter/Facebook, floorplan/architectural style drawing of the firehouse or of the museum, mission reports.
Tomorrowland: This has been and will probably always remain one of my favorite movies. I love Casey raging against The Man and always choosing hope. I love exceptionally grumpy George Clooney and whoever made the choice for him to play a grown-up Frank like he never got over his feelings for Athena.
Things I would like to experience for this movie, feel free to mix and match:
- "1001 words about why you f***s need to stop dismantling the NASA launch site," by Casey Newton
- Frank's notes/instructions/sketches on his inventions, whether as a kid in Tomorrowland or as an adult with all his doomsday prophecy clocks
- Frank stops feeling so guilty for running away as a kid when he realizes he has a (found) family in the Newtons
- some sort of AU where it's more than just Casey's refusal to give up on the world that changes the probabilities, instead there's something actually magical about her
- Frank and Casey building things/fixing things in Tomorrowland
characters riding the monorail to relax, and the conversations they have while they do
- Athena's personality matrix is still in a Tomorrowland computer terminal somewhere, and Frank and/or Casey can still talk to her, whether out loud or via text on a screen
- I am down for Frank/Casey of whatever style - maybe a malfunctioning something in Tomorrowland gives them an accidental telepathic link/soulbond/inability to be more than a few feet away from each other
- something something time loop/Groundhog Day scenario
Art opt-ins/illustrated text possibilities: any technical or architectural drawings, A Softer World-style strips involving any of the three main characters.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story: I still remember vividly going to see this opening day in the cinema, and crying through the last quarter, and then crying on the way home. Even though I figured going in that it was going to end sadly; I didn't think it would end that sadly. Save some of the characters for me! Save all of them if you'd like - you could even save Krennic and have him continue to fuck around and mess things up for the rebels.
Some things I would like to experience for this movie, feel free to mix and match:
- Cassian & K-2SO or Cassian/K2SO: On an undercover mission, on a "run in and shoot (or blow up) someone/something" mission, on a vacation, writing mission reports.
- something something time loop/Groundhog Day scenario for any pairing or character grouping, whether a narrative style or someone has a journal that doesn't reset so they can keep track of what happens
- Galen/Orson, Galen/Lyra: I feel like there are some ~interesting~ stories to be told about the younger versions of these characters, especially in how Galen and Orson were unlikely friends while at the Futures Academy
- above but with any of those three waking up as their 10+/- years' younger self, but knowing what they know as their future self (so maybe Lyra, upon being murdered, wakes up on Espinar): do they make different choices?
- Galen/Bodhi: How did they come to know one another? What occurred between them that convinced Bodhi to go looking for Saw?
Art opt-ins/illustrated text possibilities: any technical drawings, excerpts from Galen's or Lyra's sketch/notebooks or academic publications, floorplan/architectural style drawing of any location in the movie or the tie-in prequel novel that you're interested in, mission reports, ASW-style panels.
Loki: As a very casual Marvel fan who barely remembers Civil War because she fell asleep two out of the three times she tried to watch it, and refuses to watch Infinity War or Endgame because of who dies, I was VERY surprised at how much I enjoyed this show! Like, watch multiple times in one weekend enjoyed.
Some things I would like to experience for this series, feel free to mix and match:
- any combination of Loki, Mobius, and Sylvie in a 'ship fashion
- any combination of Loki, Mobius, and Sylvie in a platonic fashion where they're dealing with any sort of fate vs. free will trope (platonic soulmates, etc)
- pre-show: Mobius & Ravonna at the TVA together and how they got to be friends, various missions they might have gone on together (a series of Mobius & Ravonna through history, maybe?)
- Classic Loki, Kid Loki, and Alligator Loki - surviving in the Void, weird Void things, and who/what others they encounter in the Void
- I really, really loved how the show styled the TVA and would love to read TVA worldbuilding things, whether standalone or mixed with anything above, or as something like official TVA workplace documentation
events of the show through Mobius' POV, including mission/field report-style things or a personal journal (or even a hodge-podge of things that taken together are sort of a personal journal, like notes to himself on Post-Its and on the backs of other pieces of paper)
- events of the show through Sylvie's POV
- events of the show through Mobius' POV
Art opt-ins/illustrated text possibilities: technical/architectural drawings related to the TVA, TVA weapons schematics, maps of the Void, A Softer World-style strips involving any of the main characters, mission reports.
IT - Muschietti movies:
Some things I would like to experience for these movies, feel free to mix and match:
- remix fic of any of my own IT stories would be cool
- something recursive maybe, like characters in one of Bill's books turn out to be real, or one of Bill's books is the basis for an In the Mouth of Madness sort of situation
- unreliable narrator: any of the Losers
- non-linear narratives are fine, mixing in-universe documents into a prose story is great (bits of Bill's screenplays, text messages, etc)
- I like Eddie/Richie, Bill/Mike, Ben/Beverly when they're adults. If you want to try for Bill/Mike/Audra, that could be interesting.
- I like Eddie/Richie, Bill/Stan, or Richie/Stan when they're teens.
- Any sort of dream-sharing, dreamed-the-future, fate vs. free will, soulbond/soulmate shenanigans would be great.
- Eddie lives AU
- a "characters don't/can't go back to Derry but meet again some other way" AU would be great
- Richie and Bev being BFFs after the movie could be fun
- the Losers Club play spin the bottle (as teens) or Never Have I Ever (as adults) - HC note: I can't see Richie as anything but gay/sleeps only with other men queer, but if he and Bev make out as part of either of these games that's fine
- road trip!
- if you're a Stephen King fan and you have Thoughts about other King works that could cross over into the IT cinematic universe - feel free! If you want to take the Losers out of Derry entirely and put them into the 'salem's Lot plot - I would read it! If you want to send them all to the Overlook Hotel - ooooh, I never thought about this before typing this out and now I want it
Art opt-ins/illustrated text ideas: A Softer World-style strips involving any of the Losers, journal entries/excerpts, in-universe magazine/newspaper spread/articles about Famous Author Bill Denbrough, in-universe social media
Other opt-ins: Instructions - Cocktail Recipes (why not?), poetry, any in-universe documents that fit any of the settings of the movies, List of things (any Loser) is not allowed to do
