lakeeffectgirlI had much less FOMO than expected last year when I skipped Yuletide, but this year I have less going on fannishly, and so signed up. As usual, I got the assignment I least expected (I feel like this is just the perennial Yuletide experience, other than when I wrote the Good Will Hunting story), but I see no downside in watching this particular media on repeat. And yay, Madness is still a thing, so I can also write the additional smaller idea I have for my recip that likely wouldn't reach 1k.
I have been working on a very slow X-Files rewatch amid watching other things, and am currently about a third of the way through season two. Ah, the clear hiding of Gillian Anderson's pregnancy! I forgot the Duane Barry arc happened so early in the season. It's also fascinating to watch all these years later and think about how big a thing Mulder/Krycek was, when Krycek was originally only Mulder's partner for probably about two weeks before we find out he's a plant (and then he goes on to kill Mulder's dad, which I guess didn't deter any of us 20+ years ago but I think might deter me from contemplating it now - I think I read some fics where this was written around as Krycek being there but someone else being the killer).
