Episode three opens on the team getting ready to go assassinate the Senator (who is believed to be a Butterfly), and loading various guns and equipment into a truck that's labeled as "Ex-static Electrical: Our Prices Will Shock You". Peacemaker is telling them he found the tiny spaceship. They see Vigilante hiding behind a dumpster, because as Peacemaker puts it, "He's trying to be helpful." Harcourt tells him to GTFO.

"I just want to be sure you're okay," Vigilante tells PM. "I don't trust these people." He is worried they will usurp him as BFF.

"Isn't that guy wanted on multiple counts of murder?" Economos asks. "We have bigger fish to fry," is Murn's response. "We have a United States Senator to assassinate by the end of the day."

"We're going to kill him because climate change is a hoax?" PM asks, as Murn outlines things about the Senator. "Why do all people who think pro wrestling is real think climate change is a hoax?" Adebayo replies. "It's not a hoax."

PM discovers Leota is a lesbian since a naughty picture her wife sent her has WhatsApp-ed onto her iPad. Murn continues explaining about Senator Goff, saying the kids might be Butterflies as well, and they might also have to be killed - Peacemaker is unsure about this. This winds up expressed as half a meltdown about how his sniper rifle doesn't have the dove of peace on it, so Leota throws him a Sharpie so he can draw his own.

Murn and Economos have a conversation about how PM doesn't know yet what the Butterflies are. Murn expresses regret for his past - he was basically a mercenary.

It's now dark, and PM and Harcourt have set up to snipe the Senator and possibly his wife and kids at his home once they get a clear shot. Leota and Economos have a conversation about if it's Berenstein Bears or Berenstain Bears.

The Senator has a bodyguard who was Officer McNab on Psych! And a very short judo master as another bodyguard, named Judomaster. (The team keeps calling him Cobra Kai, lol.) The family goes inside and starts acting weird, leading Murn to think they might all be Butterflies.

PM and Harcourt have a discussion about how they ended up in black ops - both because of their dads. As Harcourt goes to pee in the woods, Vigilante appears, because: "I followed you guys in my Vigilante-mobile?" "When'd you get a Vigilante-mobile?" "You've been in it!" "The Sebring?"

Murn says Vigilante now has to stay there, so he doesn't fuck anything up.

The Senator's family all appear in the window. They start drinking honey-colored goo out of bowls with purple tubes that unroll out of their mouths - they're all Butterflies. Murn gives the order to take them all out, but Chris can't do it.

Vigilante (gently!) has him move away from the rifle, and takes out everyone but the Senator before Judomaster appears and flying-kicks him away from the gun. Judomaster proceeds to knock them all out and Peacemaker and Vigilante get dragged inside the house. Harcourt wakes up to see McNab from Psych - unfortunately now he has to be killed since he's seen them, and she tells Leota to do it, but Leota's never shot anyone before. Harcourt ends up shooting him.

Peacemaker and Vigilante are tied up in a cavern under the house. Judomaster is eating Hot Cheetos. He and Peacemaker trade soft insults for a while, as neither of them are bothered by said insults, and then Judomaster flicks Cheetos at his face.

Adebayo, Murn, and Harcourt bust into the house to look for Peacemaker (they can track him due to the chip in his head). Eventually they realize he's in a basement, and find the entrance - but it's some alien door and they have to blow it up to get through.

Meanwhile, Goff is torturing Vigilante to get Peacemaker to talk, which doesn't work (there are some shots of Peacemaker's face where you can tell he's conflicted about what's happening, but he doesn't tell the Senator anything). Goff pulls Vigilante's mask off, and Chris is like, "Hey, aren't you Gut Chase's younger brother? The one who was playing D&D all the time?" "Since then I've turned my body into an instrument of vengeance," Vigilante replies, as he tries to recover from getting electrocuted in the balls.

"Dude, that's admirable. Your body's way more toned than it used to be." Ah, Peacemaker, lookin' at dudes' bodies.

Also meanwhile, Economos sees Judomaster getting away in a car, and runs into him with the truck, then has to hit him with a crowbar to knock him out.

Goff tries to cut off Vigilante's pinky toe, but doesn't quite succeed.

Peacemaker gets free and kills the Senator. He then unties Adrian. The actual alien crawls out of the Senator's head and flies up towards the roof of the cave. "Oh," Peacemaker says. "Project Butterfly."
