I have gotten caught up on Obi-Wan Kenobi and after being vaguely bored the first two episodes (plus I just... do not like precocious children on my television, if I am being honest), the fifth episode absolutely destroyed me and I had to lay on the couch wheezing with tears running down my face for fifteen minutes after finishing it.
IDK, maybe it hits different if you are an Obikin person. I was going to try to get some writing done tonight but I think I'm ruined for a while.
Friends came over today - the first time in like ten years there has been more than one other not-me person in the house, probably - and we watched The Lost City and The 355, and ate pizza and had cake to celebrate birthdays.
The Lost City was delightful and I laughed out loud many times, except when [surprise spoiler!]. But really, it was delightful and it is on Paramount+ if you've got it.
The 355 was... well, I was not surprised it was a released in January movie. You could see what they were going for - this is the movie made because someone tweeted that there should be an all-women spy film - but I just do not think Simon Kinberg should be allowed to direct his own scripts. It was not good, in that way where it was fun to a point but then... definitely had problems, lol. Some of the dialogue was cringe-inducing. OTOH, I need all the Mace/Marie fic.
