lakeeffectgirlIt snowed again last week Thursday; my power went out from 10PM that night to probably around 10AM Friday morning (I finally fell asleep at about 7AM, after telling work I obviously could not get there, and when I woke up at 11AM the power was back on). That sucked - I can't sleep when the power is out, so I basically hid in bed under a million blankets since I have electric heat.
Too many (unexpected) things have been happening in the Old Man Fandom, - on Thursday suddenly a whole bunch of pictures dropped of Tom, McQuarrie, MI & TGM editor Eddie Hamilton, and HANNAH FREAKIN' WADDINGHAM hanging out on the USS George Bush in the Adriatic, where TGM screened for the sailors probably after the MI crew did their filming stuff. So the secret is out that Hannah is in MI8!
Sunday the news dropped early that Tom would not be at the Oscars (I assume they're trying to get as much done as they can on MI8 before the potential WGA strike), and so figured McQ would also not be at the Oscars, but then TWO HOURS BEFORE THE SHOW STARTED he was tweeting Rian Johnson that he'd just landed at LAX. Surprise!! McQ and Heather at the Oscars!! Heather was already in LA, though, since there was a picture of her and their younger daughter at the CAA pre-Oscars party with Tom's agent. (I did not watch the Oscars, just followed along with who was winning while I refreshed picture websites madly looking for McQs - ALAS, there are only a couple pictures of them.)
Then they went to Michael Caine's 90th birthday party yesterday. The chaos demon in me loves Tom skipping the Oscars to stay in London and then drink wine with Sir Michael.
